Terms & Conditions

By accessing or using https://thefaceyogalab.com and any associated mobile or web application (collectively, the “Platform”), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

• You must be at least 18 years old to use this Platform.
• By using the Platform you represent that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
• If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.

Accounts are created and managed via Clerk, our third-party authentication provider. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Notifying us immediately at hello@thefaceyogalab.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being misused.

4.1 Plans

The Platform offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid plans unlock premium content and features as described on our Pricing page.

4.2 Billing & Renewal

• Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing you agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Prices may change with 30 days’ notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new price.
• All prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

4.3 Refunds

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first payment for any paid plan. Requests must be submitted to hello@thefaceyogalab.com within 14 days of the initial charge. Subsequent billing cycles are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to premium features until then.

5.1 Our Content

All videos, text, graphics, routines, face-reading interpretations, and other materials on the Platform (“Our Content”) are the exclusive intellectual property of The Face Yoga Lab or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or publicly display Our Content without our prior written consent.

Face-reading content on this Platform draws on the tradition and teachings of Lillian Bridges and the Lotus Institute. All such material is used with respect and acknowledgement of its origins.

5.2 Your Content

Where the Platform allows you to upload or submit content (e.g. community posts, recordings), you retain ownership but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content solely to operate the Platform and provide the service to you and other users.

You warrant that any content you submit does not infringe third-party rights, is not unlawful, defamatory, or harmful, and complies with these Terms.

5.3 Limited Licence to Use the Platform

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials or subscription access with others.
• Download, record, screen-capture, or otherwise reproduce paid video content.
• Use the Platform to transmit spam, malware, or any harmful code.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Platform.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access or collect data from the Platform without our written consent.
• Post content that is defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise unlawful.
• Attempt to circumvent any security or access-control measure.

The Platform includes an optional face-scanning feature powered by Google’s MediaPipe library. Key points:

• All face landmark detection and analysis runs locally on your device. Raw camera images are never transmitted to our servers.
• We store anonymised landmark coordinates and the derived wellness analysis (not your image) to provide scan history and routine recommendations.
• You consent to this processing by choosing to use the scan feature. You may delete your scan history at any time via your account settings.
• The face analysis is a wellness and educational tool only. It produces no medical, diagnostic, or clinical output.

The Platform integrates third-party services including Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Vimeo (video hosting), and Vercel (infrastructure & analytics). Your use of the Platform is also subject to the applicable terms and privacy policies of these providers. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, The Face Yoga Lab AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR HEALTH, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) £100 GBP.

NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE, FRAUD, OR ANY OTHER LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED BY LAW.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Face Yoga Lab, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or that continued access poses a risk to the Platform or other users. Upon termination:

• Your licence to use the Platform ceases immediately.
• Sections 5.1, 9, 10, 11, 14, and 15 survive termination.
• We will handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time without liability. We will endeavour to give reasonable advance notice of material changes affecting paid subscribers.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.

• Entire Agreement: These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Platform and supersede all prior agreements.
• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
• Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
• Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign ours without restriction.
